Treasure Hunt

So, today I decided to leave Phoebe at home rather than take her to my Mom's while we both worked. On my way home for lunch, I remembered I didn't put the trash on the counter. I immediately started to worry. I remembered there was something I threw away a few days ago, and I couldn't remember for the life of me.

I walked in the door very hesitantly. I almost went to McDonald's for lunch and let Marcus find the mess. But, to my surprise, the trash was only scattered in a small pile in the kitchen. Thinking it wasn't too bad, I didn't lock her in the bathroom. (that's her punishment.)

A few minutes later, I walked out of the bathroom, and Phoebe had her nose, well, I guess her whole face really if you think about it, in the DI clothes bag. I told her to get out, but she didn't listen. So I went over and pushed her away from it. I looked in and she had created a tunnel. I reached in and grabbed...

A CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BROWNIE!

That's what I forgot I threw away. I made a batch for our ward Halloween party, but they didn't all get eaten, so I threw the rest away. So, for the fun of it, I'm going to show you all the places Phoebe took Marcus and I on her little treasure hunt.

Stop #1: the DI clothes bag. This is where we
figured out the fun began!
#2: My favorite purple blanket... sitting on the
top of the couch.
#3: Wedged in the little holes in my chair. Sorry,
no proof. Marcus had it cleaned up already.
#4 & 5: In TWO different laundry baskets.
Yes, she tipped them over herself and hid it all
between the clothes.
#6: On top of all our wedding cards. She
ripped the bag open and spread them
all over...
#7: Behind our newspaper stack. She made a
little hole behind our papers.

#8 & 9: Between cushions on our couch.
Wasn't that the funnest treasure hunt? Well. I better get to cleaning, the couch, laundry baskets, the card pile, the newspaper pile, the carpet, walls, and mirrors that she got it on. YES! All over our walls and closet mirrors too. I was too lazy to upload those pictures though. Ta ta for now! Oh, and I just want to let Natalie know, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Anybody want a dog Ü Just kidding. I could never give this cute face away.

See now, the problem is your dog is too small! If she were bigger, she would have eaten that brownie in one big bite like our dog. I'm amazed she dragged it to all those places first!

She's quite cute though! Her sweet face will get her out of a lot of trouble!

Michajah: It basically was your home, so, that's cool with me.

Natalie: She knows she isn't supposed to eat stuff out of the trash, so she is "smart" and hides it. She has done this other times, but she didn't have quite enough time to find this many hiding spots. She had a little under 5 hours to hide these 8 or so brownies, and then start eating them while saving some for later. I'm thinking about 4 were gone, and all that was left was the brown evidence. She really is a smart dog. Too smart.

Marcus was honestly following her around all afternoon cause while she thinks we aren't looking, she goes for another one.
