I am having a coupon class at our house on Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 PM. I will be teaching all the ins and outs of couponing that I have learned so far. It's free to come and listen, so bring yourself and a friend. It'll be a good time, I promise.
In the mean time, if you want to see my success and a little bit about what I'll be teaching, head over to my coupon blog http://gscouponjunkie.blogspot.com (Yes! I have a coupon blog. I'm that addicted. I love saving money!)
Comment or let me know if you want to come!

Coupon Junkie
Tomorrow I head down to Vegas to go to my orientation to become a GROCERY SMARTS INSTRUCTOR! I am so excited! I even made a new blog to keep you all informed on my couponing success, tips, and the like. So, head on over to http://gscouponjunkie.blogspot.com and take a look. Mind you, it's still a work in progress. When I get a free few hours to myself, I will create a background, but for now, this will have to do. *Sigh*

Sunday Coupons
Top o' the mornin to ya!
Does anybody that reads this blog get the spectrum? This Sunday I got my 3 papers, but no coupon inserts in any of them! Did anybody else have this problem, or should I call the Spectrum? I don't like not getting my coupons. Let me know. Thanks!

Couponing Success!!!!
Today is the first day I feel like I've had AMAZING success with coupon shopping. It made having 4 papers on our doorstep every Sunday well worth it! I went to St. George specifically to go shopping with Ashlie (My favorite big sister) at Albertsons. They were (well, still are until Tuesday, so you could have success too.) having a great sale. Buy 10 items off a certain list, get $1o off your next order. This is how I saved SO much!

After shopping Ashlie took me and her girls to lunch. Sadie and McKadie got stickers at Albertsons to keep them from crying, and in the car McKadie was asking for her sticker. When we got into Boulevard, we found her sticker. (red spot on pocket of pants.)
1: Get http://www.grocerysmarts.com/ (passcode on side bar of my blog) list prepared with the things you want.
2: Clip all the coupons needed for those products. (Grocery Smarts will help you find them.)
3: Sort them and figure out how many of each product you have coupons for.
4: Sort them into transactions of 10. (Because you get a coupon for every 10 items.)
5: Paper clip the coupons together into transactions.
6: Go shopping and save all the money.
So,.. the moment you've all been waiting for! My results..
Spent: $49.85
Saved: $153.95
or: 75.5%
I got 66 items and it came out to each item being 75.5 cents each! I can't believe it. Ashlie did better than I did, although her percentage is 1% lower, she bought $14 worth of toilet paper that wasn't on the sale, so her 74% includes that toilet paper. She got 36 rolls of toilet paper for 76 cents!
Here's a breakdown of what I got:
6 Cake Mixes
4 Grands Flaky biscuit tubes
2 boxes of fruit snacks
2 boxes of yogos
1 box of fruit by the foot, gushers, stickerz, and fruit roll ups
4 brownie mixes
6 can of Progresso soup (Rich and Hearty, which is the more expensive progresso)
5 packages of Pillsbury ready to bake cookies
4 cans of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls
1 tub of frosting
5 cookie mixes
5 warm delights
2 cans of crescent rolls
2 Cheerios snack mixes
6 muffin mixes
2 boxes of Cinnamon toast crunch
2 boxes of Cheerios
1 box of trix
2 bottles of Hawaiian punch
and 1 bottle of sprite. I was sweating by the end! But it was worth it.
I got this all typed up and remembered I took pictures so I didn't have to, but I'm not going to delete all that hard typing, so you get both.
Thanks for shopping with me Ashlie! I'm so ready to do it again, because now I don't have to buy any mixes of any kind for a LONG time, and it was CHEAP! I'd be happy to help anyone do grocery smarts. Why not use coupons? They're free money! All you have to do is buy a subscription to the paper, but in one trip like this one, you more than pay for it!
