Our Las Vegas Adventure

On Saturday, we headed down to Las Vegas to see Marcus' cousin, Amy, get married. Neither of us had been to the Las Vegas temple in a while, so we asked my Mom directions. She told us to take the Apex exit, and go to Nellis, then Bonanza. Well, we thought we missed the Apex exit, then we thought we hadn't. We got off on the actual Apex exit, and the only way, or from what it seemed, was north, or back onto the freeway. So we got onto the freeway again, because we knew the temple wasn't north. Good thing Marcus got us new phones a few days ago. I got mine out and used the map to figure out how to get to the temple. I was reading directions off, and the first one was to get off the Lamb exit and go north. I didn't even think about it, and so we went north. That road ended about half a mile later because of construction. So we followed all the detour signs and ended up so north that we were out of Las Vegas. Marcus pulled out his phone and went onto google to find the directions. Come to find out, the directions I pulled up had a typo. They said go N of Lamb blvd, but the N should have been a S. CRAP! After we found our way back to a street that we sort of knew, we found our way to the temple. Good thing we didn't have to change our clothes, because we would have been late. We walked into the chapel as the worker was just finishing talking.

After the wedding, we had a little over an hour before the luncheon, so we decided to go to the mall. We walked around, and shopped a little bit, then it was time to go to the luncheon, so we were off. It was less than a mile from the mall, but we still got lost. Not as much as the morning, but we took a wrong turn or two. After the luncheon, we went back to the mall. After we shopped for a while again, we got some dippin' dots, and headed home. Out in the parking lot, I dropped our spoon, and we couldn't just waste the dippin' dots, so...
We had lots of fun, after we got over the stress of almost missing the wedding!

Sounds like something that would have happened to me, getting lost multiple times during the same day. Now if you said you lost your car at least once in a parking lot, then that would definitely have been an adventure that could have happened to me.

Wow Kenz, that sounds like fun! Now you know one of the reasons that I hate Vegas. At least you didn't go the wrong way on a one way street:). I love the pictures of the dippin dots. Those little things are so good!
