What's Wrong With Me??

Marcus and I put in an offer on a house in Bunkerville. If you don't know where that is, it's just outside of Mesquite,.. so fairly close. It has absolutely nothing... Just houses, a fire station, little library, park, churches, and an elementary school... There might be a few other things, but that's pretty much it...

So, Marcus is WAY excited for this house, and I'm just super super nervous. What is wrong with me? Aren't I supposed to be the supper excited one?? He can't wait to get in and fix it up and add on and plant grass and a garden and make a basketball court... His list goes on and on, and mine is stuck at,... Do I really want to move out there?

I know it's the home body in me. You all are probably going to laugh, but I only looked for apartments in the Falls and Hermosa Vista when we got married. It's the only apartments in my Mom's ward! Now I'm thinking about moving out? Not only to a different ward, but to a "different" city. I quote different because It's technically a different city, but everything we would need is in Mesquite, work, food, gas, entertainment, family... yada yada. It's only 15 minutes away, but I am so sick inside about moving... AHH! I hate this. It's the same feeling I get when I'm leaving on vacation. I just want to crawl in a whole and cry.

I might be crying more than once... AND we still have a lease on our apartment until September 30th... So, maybe if we get the house, we can fix it up, then move our stuff over there slowly,.. and eventually it'll feel more like home.

Like my Mom told me, "McKenzie, Enjoy the Journey" That's what we learned about at Enrichment. So, here are the good things about the house:

Only $95,000
-On .28 acres, leaving lots of room to expand, because there is no master bedroom
-Ren and Chelsie live right down the street
-It's a small friendly town
-It would put me out of my comfort zone. I hate to admit it, but I need to step out of my comfort zone. It scares me to death to do so though.
-It's a fixer upper, so we can make the place our own, and with the price, we can get extra funding to do so hopefully.
-If we get a house, we'll have more visitors! YEAH RIGHT! But we would feel better about inviting people over for dinner and stuff.
-We could do laundry WHENEVER we wanted! YAY! This whole no laundry in the morning doesn't work for me.

So, that's what is taking over my mind tonight. It's really got me stressed out, but I'm trying hard to think more of the positive in it and all the friends I'll hopefully make out there. We would be in Ren's ward, so it wouldn't be TOO bad,.. but moving does always make you automatically a candidate to talk in church. YUCK!

Like I told Ashlie,... Baby steps... Maybe after we move to Bunkerville, I'll be brave enough to move to Littlefield, then St. George.... Wait, skip Littlefield, I don't wanna live there, we'll take a huge leap and go to St. George Ü But, if we have our way, we will be staying in the Mesquite/Bunkerville area. Although, we never know what the Lord has planned for us, and sometimes it drives me crazy!

Thanks for listening to me ramble. WoW! I just scrolled up and that's a lot of rambling. If you got to this part, I know you love me. Thanks for loving me!

That is an awesome price for a house! Nate was more excited than me when we decided to build our house. I was too nervous to be excited. One thing that helped me was making sure it was just a "this is a BIG purchase" nervous or if it was "you are not suppose to do this" nervous. When I knew that it was what we were suppose to do and it was all final... then I got excited! Good Luck though! You'll have to let us know if you get it.

Some people just don't like change, not anything "wrong" with you. I like change, for the most part. Guess it comes from me actually wanting to move away when I turned 18. We are all different, don't feel bad. Just enjoy what you can, and you have Marc to help you through the stuff that's not so enjoyable. Good luck on the house, we'll have to stay with you sometimes when you get it.
