Baby Quail

Even though it's summer, spring is still in the air! Grandpa and Grandma Abbott went out of town one weekend, and we were taking care of their animals. Grandpa had these baby quail hatch while he was gone.

There were 14 of these little buggers in the incubator when we opened it up. As soon as I lifted the lid, they all started popping like popcorn. I only managed to get 4 into the box before the rest popped their way onto the ground. Max was having a hay day trying to catch them. We finally got them all caught and in the box. That is no easy task! These buggers are little and fast!
