4 Months

Cutie Pie is 4 months old today.

I don't remember what I wrote last time, but here are some things she's starting to do.

Rolling over: Have seen her only a couple of times, and it seems effortless, but she doesn't do it much.
Sucking on everything: When she's awake, she likes to suck on things. Toys and fists mostly.
Lizard tongue: Whenever she doesn't have anything in her mouth, she is constantly putting her tongue in and out of her mouth.
Sleeping great! She eats between 7:30 and 8, and goes to sleep sometime after that. Usually, she doesn't wake up until between 5:30 and 7:30. I love it! Max wasn't this way for a LONG time.
Giggling: She has only giggled at us a few times, but she can do it! When you try and tickle her, she squirms and gives you a "what the heck are you doing" face. She giggles with a disgusted look on her face. It's quite funny. I've never seen it before.

Love you Cutie Pie!

Cora's 3 months old!

This sweet little lady is already 3 months old. She is finding her voice. When she's happy (which is most of the time.) and awake (which is NOT most of the time ;)) She is cooing and smiling. Here are a few things about her at 3 months old.

She weighs 13.6 pounds (according to our scale at home.)
She is very tolerant! (She HAS to be with Max as her brother!)
People still say she is a Momma's girl, but I'm still not agreeing.
She's kicking, cooing and starting to show her laid back personality more.
Bed time is at 8. She gets mad if it is any later. She has been sleeping until about 6. A whole 10 hours! It is amazing, and I love it.
She still likes to be swaddled when she's tired.
She doesn't like the swing as much as laying and stretching. (The swing used to be her favorite safe haven from Max.)
The car seat is still NOT her friend...
She got her first set of immunizations. 3 shots and one through the mouth. She didn't like the shots of course, but didn't cry for very long. She didn't have any side effects from them either. We were really lucky.
She was born with hair, but it fell out. It is starting to come back in. Hopefully faster than brothers!

3 month old beauty

I can't get enough of her grin!

Our family date to the arcade wasn't very exciting for our
little miss apparently :)

2 1/2 Months

I'm supposed to be doing homework, but you can tell how well that's going! I'm going to pass this Lit class if it kills me, which it might. Anyway, the reason for this homework interruption (like I don't have enough as it is...) ....

Cora had a doctor's appointment today. Amazingly, while Dr. C was poking and prodding her, she just smiled. Max usually screamed through the whole thing. It's amazing how different they are. Here are her stats:
Height: 24 inches
Weight: 12 lb 5 oz
Dr Comments: "Hello there triple chin!"
"You're breastfeeding right? She's getting the good stuff. No skim milk for her. It's more like half & half."

At this stage, Cora is smiling a lot. She still sleeps most of the day. She is usually only awake for an hour or so at a time. She goes to sleep at nine (or earlier) and wakes up at 3:30 to eat, then at 7:30 for a while. She is finding her voice and starting to coo. Max loves her still, but he scares her. If he gets too close, she starts crying. She loves baths and has started kicking while sitting there. She usually only cries when she is tired and hungry. Most people think she is a Momma's girl, but she is better than Max was, so I'm not convinced yet. Yesterday she got her first cold.  We're hoping it goes away soon and doesn't turn into anything worse. We are so happy she is a part of our family now.

We love our chubby Baby Sis!
