Momma Nolan's Visit

Momma Nolan came out to visit for a week, along with Kameron and Sitara. They were here for a week and we got to spend LOTS of time with them. The first day Max was super tired, and Grandma got to rock him to sleep. It was a tradition every night until she left.

When Grandma headed up north with Sitara, Uncle Kam took her spot and rocked Max to sleep.

We went to see The Help. It was such a good movie! There were many, many funny parts! I was having a hard time not laughing because Max was asleep. Eventually it wasn't laugh out loud funny for long enough that Max went into a DEEP slumber. This is what he thought of the movie!

When we went out to our car, there was a black cat. No big deal. It walked in front of Susan. Then Kam. Then Me. Then across the parking lot in front of Marcus and my Mom. Susan decided she had enough of the cat and got in the car. It decided to jump on the roof. They tried driving away thinking it would get off. Nope! We had to stop, pull the cat off, and then we could drive away. Crazy cat!

Here are some pictures of us hanging out at G&g Wursten's house.  I can't get these pictures to turn, sorry.

Girl's Camp

On Friday, July 8th, our household drove up to Girl's Camp for the afternoon. It was Marcus and Max's first time at Girl's Camp. Marcus and my Dad cooked dinner, I helped with what I could (I was one of the assistant camp directors), and my Mom watched Max. Everybody loved Max. Next time we'll take a stroller or a pack n play. He kept trying to jump out of our arms and get in the dirt!
Looking out the window while we were going down the mountain. He loved it! It beat listening to him cry in his carseat!
Poor Max was so tired he fell asleep on Grandma's shoulder, even around all the noisy girls!

Fish Lake 2011... Finally!

After...
Many attempts to upload these stupid pictures
Max and I being sick with strep
and busy days...

We proudly present to you....
Our Fish Lake Trip 2011!
Whether it looks good or not!

On Friday the 24th of June, Marcus packed up the car and we headed to Fish Lake. It's a Kennedy tradition. We camped 3 nights with Marcus' Dad and family, Jenny, Johnny, and Brooklyn, Rachael and family, and a surprise guest appearance from Mike and fam.

Here are some highlights from our trip:
Max doesn't like the car, and so we listened to him whine and cry most of the way up because there was no room for me to sit by him. We stopped at Wendy's to eat and give Max a little time out of his carseat. There was this really nice old man sitting at a table near us. Max would take a bite of his food then turn and smile at this old man. Once he got done smiling, he'd turn back for more, and the turn and smile at the old guy. The old guy loved it! I felt kind of bad because Max just kept staring, but what can ya do?

We got to visit with all the family we hardly ever see. Once Marcus is out of school, we really need to go visit more often!

Brooklyn loved Max! She was always saying "Baby Max". She even helped feed him breakfast on our last morning.

Max and I took a nap together everyday! It was awesome. Max got more than 1 nap everyday.

We got to use our new tent for the first time. It was pretty nice.

Marcus got to use his new fishing gear. He caught a puny little fish that he had to throw back, but at least he didn't get skunked!

We had to walk 3-5 minutes just to use the bathroom. At least there was a bathroom right?

Max took a bath in a Max-size tub. It was the tub in Jenny's trailer. It was cute. Everything little is cute right?!

We took Jasmine (Jenny's dog) for a couple walks. It was nice being out in the fresh air!

Max hardly cried! He loves being outside and being held. There was absolutely no shortage of either of these 2 things up there, so he was in Heaven!

If there is anything else I missed, it will probably be in a picture below. I tried SEVERAL times to upload these dang pictures, and it just wouldn't work, so you get to see them in a slideshow. Sorry. Here they are...

2 Families, 1 Weekend

It always seems that when either Mine or Marcus' families have something planned, the other has planned something as well. This always turns out to be chaotic, fun-filled, non-stop weekends. Here's a super condensed version of our weekend...

Pace, Liz and Kairi came down Thursday night/Friday morning if you want to get technical, and stayed the weekend. We hung out and were really boring. I think we sat in the living room all day, but hey, we weren't in the same chair for more than 2 hours at a time :) On Saturday, all my family came over and we had a birthday dinner for all the May, June, and July birthdays. This included navajo tacos, swimming, cribbage, visiting, being lazy...... Happy Birthday to Shaynie, McKenzie, Branae, Marcus, Dad, Sadie, Pace, Liz! (I think I got them all!

We cut visiting with my family short to go eat cake and ice cream with Zoi. She turned 2! Nate and his family came down and we got to see them for a BRIEF second. Max was worn out and passed out before Aunt Natalie or Zach or Noah could have a chance to hold him. They had never met. Sorry! Hopefully next time he'll cooperate, and hopefully that next time won't be too far in the future.

We chilled with Aunt Liz and Kairi. Max tries to hold his bottle with his feet, but doesn't have quite enough monkey inside him.

Marcus got in on the cribbage action. A new favorite at our house. It's currently played normally, on the Evo and the Ipad. Marcus is usually playing whichever one he can get at the moment.

We hung out with our buddies. Max, Asher, Kaleb
(with Logan and Branae in the back.)

Swam in the swimming pool. Max loves being thrown in the air. He's a thrill seeker.

Played with the nephews... Marcus and Kiler

zoi shared her toys with us

Had cake and ice cream with the birthday girl. Happy Birthday zoi

Celebrated Marcus' first Father's Day. Quote from Marcus while laying on the bed with Max similar to this picture... "This is what Father's day is all about."

Shared our toys with our buddies

Loved the attention Kairi gave us. Kairi adores Max, and Max loves any attention he gets!

Mommy and Me Swimming

Our Rec Center offered free Mommy and Me swimming lessons, and I figured, "5 days of swimming at the Rec Center for free? OK!" So, I asked Jenna if her and Tynlee wanted to go with me and Max. Today was our first day, and Max loved it. I knew he would. He is quite the water baby. We are in trouble when he can get around on his own! He'll always be in the tub or pool.
Max in the car when we got to the Rec Center. I'm in love with his new hat.

Splashing and talking while waiting for the instructor. Our instructor got sick before our class, so we had a double class with older kids and kind of got neglected. Hopefully the rest of the week will be better.

Tynlee and Max

Tynlee and Max again. I love this picture for some reason.

Trying to get Max to splash. Once he got the hang of it, he never stopped, just like when he takes baths!

Getting braver and deeper into the water.

This was Max's first time being submerged. He was a champ!

Later, we went to Big-O to get the oil changed, and he got to sport his new hat, so naturally, we had to get another picture.

Max and Daddy waiting for the car to be done.

Mr. Fishy

Max is going to be a water baby! We already knew he loved his baths, but weren't sure if he would like swimming since the water is cold. Yesterday was our first attempt at letting him "swim". He LOVED it! He didn't cry at all, but we had to take him out because his hands and arms were purple! Since he never stops kicking his feet, he can make himself go across the pool.

We are going to have a fun time in the sun this summer, and keep the sunscreen companies in business! We walked TO the Rec Center (1/2 mile or less from our house) and he got burned. We didn't even walk home, my Mom brought us back, but the poor kid got burned.

Max and Mommy. This is his "swimming suit". Cheaper than an actual swimming suit, but much better for his skin, and dang cute :)

Asher and Max playing in the small pool

This picture's main purpose is to prove Mr. Max has hair. You can see it pretty well when it's wet

Max and Daddy after 1st swim. Max refused to look at the camera.

Cousin Asher chillin' after their first swim

Asher and Max. Red headed, blue eyed cousins. Ever tried to get 2 babies to look at the camera and smile at the same time? It's nearly impossible!

Max and Daddy swinging. Max is not a fan of swinging, but we're trying to get him over it. He will actually swing a little now, so we're making progress.

We have a bird nest with a baby in it in our tree

Max during swim #2. He chews on absolutely everything.
